More Than a Report
For its 2017 Annual Report, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences wanted a journalistic approach to storytelling, one that would bring to life the rich history of the organization and its passion for film. I led the editorial direction for the project, from collaborating with designers in the pitch process to creating the roadmap to writing, editing, and proofreading copy. The result is an elegant hybrid of news magazine and annual report that effectively captures the Academy’s accomplishments and impact over the year.
